General Manager-Operations/Technical Services Exploration/Drilling

BCM is seeking to engage the services of a competent Project Manager with Exploration/ Geology Background and experience in planning, directing, organizing and coordinating exploration and drilling activities. You will be lead exploration and drilling team to implement and manage all exploration programs and drilling contracts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing and implementing overarching exploration strategy, delivering exploration success and resource development
• Oversee exploration programs, project evaluations and resource assessments.
• Close involvement on corporate front, including assessment and analysis of potential businessdevelopment opportunities
• Monitor and manage in-house geotechnical personnel and non-technical support staff activities and performance, and be a mentor as may be necessary from time to time. Arrange training and staff development opportunities where required.
• Plan and manage all drilling contract on the site, thus required to liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to deliver on all drilling contracts
• Ensure exploration/drilling data are archived safely and be easily accessible for analysis and interpretation.

• Analyses, reviews and makes recommendations regarding changes to exploration/drilling specifications.
• Ensuring project requirements for permits, licenses and regulatory agency approvals are met and up to date. Compliance with local laws and corporate policies and procedures (including all tenement management and as well negotiation with local land owners)
• Overseeing the development of all project budgets, schedules and progress report
• Lead by example to promote safety awareness and compliance with all safety-related policies andproceduresWORKING CONDITIONS:

• Site based.
• Working hours is 12hours per day, 06:00am to 06:00pm daily

• Degree in Geology (or equivalent), with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the mineral exploration business
• Previous experience at managing project and exploration sites.
• A strong technical background – ideally with experience in early-stage gold exploration and drill-definition, and a “hands-on” attitude towards fieldwork
• A French-speaking person or Anglophone with strong francophone working experience, speak,and understand French.
• A previous role in Africa is preferred, and knowledge of the region is essential
• Certification in Project Management program.
