ABOUT THIS ROLE:
Dozer Operator is responsible for operating the bulldozers to gouge out, level and move materials in construction, civils and mining industry. You are responsible for preparing lands for constructing roads and buildings and other industrial structures at the construction site

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform pushing of dirts, rocks, earth, coal, and other materials from one location to another
- Monitor machinery functions such as oil levels and coolant levels to ensure safe operation
- Clean up and maintaining equipment.
- Follow all health and safety regulations in the discharge of assigned duties.
- Operate Machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to ensure maximum output
- Carry out Pre-starts on equipment before moving.
- Maintain clean and hazard free work environment. Thus following safety guidelines and regulations to protect themselves and others from injury or death while operating equipment.
- Inspecting equipment for signs of wear and tear, malfunctions, or damage and ensuring the defect is repaired or part affected is replaced.
- Provide training to trainees where required.
- Carry out other related tasks assigned by supervisors.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Site based.
- Working hours is 6 days a week, 12hours per day, 06:00am to 06:00pm daily
- Overtime rate shall be applied accordingly for hours in excess of 40 hours per week for all Junior staff
TRAINING, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE CHECKLIST
- Basic Education certificate or any equivalent qualification
- Valid Driving/operating License
- An understanding of occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standards
- Proven ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Physical fitness
- Hand –eye-foot coordination
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Minimum experience of at least 4 years in the position of a Dozer Operator within the industry
