ABOUT THIS ROLE:
Engineering and Survey Assistant is responsible for performing an assisting role to surveyors and engineers on field. You will perform routine task by transporting, assembling, maintaining and laying out prospecting and surveying equipment, and collecting and labelling samples.
You are also responsible for undertaking minor field surveys, and assists with field and office procedures in line with client project specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To do an intensive survey pick up of the work areas and reconcile data picked up with the client/ consultant. This will serve as the base dtm on which all design set outs, volumes will be based for the project.
- Required to set out a variety of works related to earthworks using reconciled controls with client.
- General survey tasks such as clearing area to be surveyed of debris and vegetation.
- Managing your daily tasks in a timely manner and adhering to construction schedules.
- Placing pegs and survey markers as directed.
- Data capturing and analyses to produce drawings and reports
- Any other related duty assigned by designated supervisor
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Site based.
- Working hours is 6 days a week, 12hours per day, 06:00am to 06:00pm daily
- Overtime rate shall be applied accordingly for hours in excess of 40 hours per week
TRAINING, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE CHECKLIST
- Diploma in Surveying or High School Certificate is preferred
- Proven experience working at least 2 years in engineering & Survey field
- Ability to read and write
- Strong Mathematical skills
- Good physical fitness for walking, standing and climbing.
- Strong communication skills
