ABOUT THIS ROLE:
Community Liaison is responsible for managing the communication between local institutions and community citizens. You are responsible for coordinating and engaging with the community to talk about their needs and concerns, and directing them to the organisation with plans on improving the people’s lifestyles.
You are to interact with members of the community on a daily basis, building relationships and fostering connections that help the Company to thrive.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing information, translation and training to the people in the community
- Attend or host duly authorised community meetings, press conference.
- Coordinating educational programs for community members about relevant issues such as health, safety and environmental issues
- Promoting awareness of community services available to residents, such as food pantry, mental health counselling services etc.
- Report on the utility of existing and prospective collaborations to guide future undertakings
- Develop and maintain key contacts and managing information
- Promote community involvement in law enforcement activities through outreach programs.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Site based.
- Working hours is 6 days a week, 12hours per day, 06:00am to 06:00pm daily
TRAINING, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE CHECKLIST
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of public relations and communication programs
- Relevant training and or certification as a liaison
- Ability to make oral presentations before large/small groups of people
- Proven work experience as a liaison or similar role
- Proven knowledge in the use of MS Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships necessitated by work assignment
