ABOUT THIS ROLE:

HR Officer is responsible for managing every aspect of the employment process, including orientation and training new staff. You will also be responsible for assisting with payroll management so employees receive their monthly payment on time.

You are expected to be a conceptual thinker and with superb organizational and time management skills. 

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively involved in recruitment and managing hiring process.
  • Support in conducting initial orientation to newly hired employees.
  • Assist in performance management processes.
  • Management of disciplinary and grievance issues.
  • Provide counselling on HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide payroll information by collecting time and attendance records.
  • Support in the implementation of HR activities, protocols and systems
  • Update and maintain up to date human resource files records and documentation
  • Support all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests
  • Any other duty assigned by the superior
  • Follow all health and safety regulations in the discharge of assigned duties

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Site based.
  • Working hours is 6 days a week, 12hours per day, 06:00am to 06:00pm daily

TRAINING, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE CHECKLIST

  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource or any equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in the capacity of an HR Officer or other HR positions
  • Proven knowledge in the use of MS Office.
  • Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well under pressure and meet tights deadlines
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Meticulous attention to details
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
